My first challenge involving two different languages in a communication situation happened in an exchange student program in the United States, where I spent a year at the time. Seeds planted then would bear fruits in the longer term.
Back to Brazil, I completed my graduate studies at the Psychology Institute of the University of São Paulo, and worked as a Psychologist in a private practice for a few years. Then, I felt the need to broaden my experience overseas and went back to the US, where I spent another seven years.
At that time, I seized on the opportunity of dedicating my time to learning the art of translation and specialized in subtitling, working for HBO, Netflix, Fox, Sony, Warner, DVDs, among other movie and TV networks.
Back to my homeland once again in 2001, I came into contact with simultaneous interpreting and it was love at first sight. I then focused on a Course for English Language Interpreters, at PUC-SP, and took other Advanced Practice Classes on Interpreting at Unibero.
Since then, I have been also dedicating myself to the challenges of simultaneous interpreting, along with an expert team, providing unique service to customers.
I also have had the privilege of working in countless events, in the most different areas and settings: large conferences, reserved business meetings, visits to shop floors, classes to Masters and Ph.D courses, trainings, diplomatic visits, internet broadcast programs, earnings calls, press conferences…
The large diversity of circumstances, subjects and people with whom I work renew my passion for the profession on a daily basis.
I am also an accredited member of the ATA – American Translators Association.
